What is on the slip
- Selection: the team or player and the line, like Dolphins +10.5.
- Market: spread, moneyline, total or a prop.
- Odds: the price you get if you place it now.
- Wager and to win: what you risk and what you profit if it wins.
- Accept odds changes: a setting that lets the book fill you at a new price. Leave it on "ask" so a worse price never sneaks through.
Check before you place
- The line matches the pick. +10.5 and +9.5 are different bets.
- The price is the same or better than the pick shows. If it got worse, the edge may be gone.
- The stake is your normal unit, not more.
